Sometimes, life happens.
Day trips
7 or more days in advance: $25 per person handling fee
3-6 days in advance: 50% of tour cost or apply 100% toward future tour
0-2 days in advance: 100% of tour cost
Overnight tours
60 or more days in advance: $50 per person handling fee
15 and 59 calendar days in advance: 50% of tour cost or apply 100% toward future tour
Less than 15 days in advance: 100% cancellation fee
Note: If you wish to change a date rather than cancel and we are able to confirm a new date, we will waive all cancellation fees beyond any out-of-pocket costs such as nonrefundable hotel payments.
Our cancellation fees allow us to charge what we feel are reasonable prices for our tours. They cover our cost to process your booking as well as any out-of-pocket costs. Since much of our tour pricing is based on the number of participants, charging a cancellation fee also keeps us from having to increase the cost to remaining participants. We ask that you not request exceptions, and we very much recommend that you purchase travel insurance.
If we must cancel a tour, you will receive a 100 percent refund. We are not responsible for any expenses you may have incurred. Again, we recommend that you purchase travel insurance.
Weather conditions
There’s a popular expression in cycling: There’s no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices. And REI has some great advice to make sure you choose right!
We will rarely cancel riding unless a forecast within 24 hours of a ride start calls for temperatures below 40 degrees, flooding, sustained winds above 20 miles per hour, or electrical storms.
On a multi-day tour, we reserve the right to provide alternative activities that are not impacted by the weather.
The safety of our guests and staff are our highest priority. We reserve the right to make changes to itineraries such as overnight lodging, restaurants, vehicle support, sightseeing, route and other elements if we feel that any element of the original itinerary would put anyone at greater risk.
